Ever the showman, Jamaican dancehall artiste, Beenie Man has been making the social media rounds after offering passengers aboard an airplane in the Bahamas, a mini in-flight concert.
The entertainer, known for his countless hits delivered over the 90’s and 2000’s, offered a light hearted moment to passengers who had reportedly been stuck on the island, on a stop over flight. Beenie’s impromptu performance was captured and shared by IG user, @jessleighanne_, who wrote, ““POV: You’re stuck in the Bahamas on your stop-over and Beenie Man is on your flight.”
In the now viral clip, Beenie is seen standing in the aisle of aircraft where he belts out, “Oh nah nah nah…” – the opening melody to his 1997 hit song, “Romie.” He allowed his audience to finish the hook of the single, with even a baby heard chiming along in the excitement. The artiste even delivered a little of his single, “Sim Simma,” to which he received his fans’ support as they sang, “who’s got the keys to meh Bimma.” It was quite a moment, no doubt.
Beenie Man will release a new album, he’s calling, ‘Simma’ on August 31st.
