The decline brings her estimated fortune to around $1 billion and marks a notable shift after she previously made headlines for reaching a $1.4 billion valuation, largely thanks to her Fenty Beauty empire.
In the latest Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, Rihanna now ranks No. 35. The publication cited setbacks across her businesses as major contributors to the decline. Sales at Fenty Beauty, which she co-owns with luxury conglomerate LVMH, have reportedly gone flat. Although the brand launched in China last year, LVMH described the market as a “challenging environment.”
Further impacting her business operations, the CEO of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty resigned in August 2024 to take over at Victoria’s Secret. Structural changes in the celebrity beauty and fashion industries have also affected profit margins, according to a companion Forbes report on female celebrities.
Despite these financial shifts, Rihanna remains highly active. Savage X Fenty released a Bridal Collection in April 2025 and continues to roll out new pieces. Fenty Beauty recently reintroduced its popular Body Lava luminizers, launched the Fenty Beauty Experience in Roblox, and debuted a new mascara line.
Adding to a big year, Rihanna confirmed her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala, revealing her baby bump while walking the red carpet.
Rihanna continues to appear alongside other powerhouse women in Forbes’ rankings, including Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Taylor Swift, Serena Williams, and Kim Kardashian.
