No cause of death information has been given for the sudden passing of Morgan Hertitage’s Peter Morgan. He was just 47-years-old.
His family, via their publicist, informed fans of Morgan’s passing, saying, “With deep love in our hearts, the Morgan Heritage Family is saddened to share that our cherished husband, father, son, brother, and the renowned lead singer of Morgan Heritage, Peter Morgan, passed on today, February 25th, 2024.”The statement continued, “May Jah beckon us towards redemption, for love remains our sole guiding light. In advance, the family extends heartfelt gratitude for the abundant love and support being offered. At this time they seek your unwavering prayers as they navigate this journey. Kindly honour their need for privacy as they heal.”
Following the devastating news, reggae megastar, Buju Banton posted a photo of the entertainer. He went on to share his feelings, calling Peter the brother he never had and sharing that over the past two weeks he had been working alongside the artiste, on a “very special project.” “I am so saddened by this sudden turn of events. You are totally a reggae music superstar who gave from where our father said we should, our hearts. All those memories, all that laughter, all those tours. I am going to miss you Peter and I will comfort myself with this thought. You cannot come to us but we must come to where you are. Until then Peter, I love you. The brother I never had,” said Buju.
