Chris Rock has broken his silence on the Will Smith debacle which occurred at the Oscars. The comedian admitted he was hit so hard it hurt – but joked, Smith did play Muhammad Ali.
The comedian said: “The thing people want to know . . . did it hurt? Hell yeah, it hurt.” Chris said of Will: “He played Muhammad Ali! I played Pookie (in New Jack City).
“Even in animated movies, I’m a zebra, he’s a f***ing shark.” He joked: “I got hit so hard I heard Summertime ringing in my ears.” Smith posted an emotional video to his social channels expressing remorse last year.
