The word is out. College Boy Jesse, the young, talented artist who gave us, “Happy Song” and “Doing It”, has been named lead singer of D All Starz band. He fills the space left behind when Dexter ‘Blaxx’ Stewart passed away one month ago.
The news broke on Wednesday after Jesse took the stage at Kairi People’s ‘Runaway 22’ event. On his social media, the 2020 Groovy Soca Monarch winner said, “The legacy continues.”
College Boy Jesse has certainly proven himself as a talented vocalist and performer. In the summer of 2021, the entertainer appeared at various events in the US. Many agree that he now has some very big shoes to fill, Blaxx having been a longstanding lead singer of D All Starz band and a well loved artist in the Caribbean’s entertainment industry.
