The service is being held at St. Mary’s RC Church, George Cabral Street, St. James, Trinidad.
It has been five weeks since news of the artiste’s passing rocked the entertainment fraternity. Dalzells’s sister, Gillian Dalzell- Webb, explains the family encountered some challenges in the process of attaining his body for burial. This has however been sorted through and he will now be laid to rest.
“Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has extended their condolences and offered their support, during this time,” she said, adding, “We have come to the end of a very long, and tedious process, since he passed away in St. Vincent and we faced some challenges in the repatriation of his body from that country, to Trinidad,” Dalzell-Webb explained. Now, with all matters cleared, friends, industry associates and well -wishers will have the opportunity to pay their final respects.
Ghetto Flex will be fondly remembered by many in the entertainment industry for his distinct artistry. His single with Denise Belfon. “Rock Ya Body,” and other hits like “Soca Daddy” and “Vroom Vroom” were among the artiste’s catalogue of enjoyed soca singles. Following his passing, Belfon lamented. “I want the world to know how much of an icon you were and you were one of the greats who was underrated… I love you.”
