After what started off as a pretty uncertain relationship, soca couple, Ricardo Drue and Patrice Roberts have settled into their love over the past few years and are now engaged.
News of their engagement has been spreading like wildfire across the internet, after Drue took a knee in Antigua and Barbuda at his “Druesday” event on July 26th. In video captured, the pair were standing atop a stage at the event in Drue’s home country. In what appeared to be a very unexpected moment for Roberts, Drue dropped down on one knee and popped the question. After slipping on the engagement ring, he told the crowd, “She is now officially an Antiguan.”
The pair have been sharing bits and pieces of their love story with the world via social media, all while they travel from destination to destination, performing for fans of soca across the Caribbean and Internationally. Together they share a beautiful daughter, Lili.
