Tobago Will Be LIT This Easter. Rhythm And Soul Festival Touted as Transformative Festival Experience. Buju Is Coming.

Tobago is set to headline the biggest Easter festival this April, and as expected, one of the region's most captivating and influential musical icons will once again take the stage to energize the crowd.

Buju Banton will return to Trinidad and Tobago on April 20th for what is being billed as a transformative concert experience, the likes of which has never been seen in Tobago.

Known for its annual Easter weekend excitement, the Tobago Festival Commission has adopted an innovative approach to enhance the experience for both locals and visitors alike. “Buju Banton, Gramps Morgan, Wayne Wonder, Trinidad and Tobago’s Kees, and other artists of similar stature will be the grand finale on Easter Sunday. Before they take the stage, we’ve curated a line-up of top-tier entertainers who will showcase unparalleled showmanship and deliver music that bridges generational divides,” said a Festival Commission representative.

Sinach is coming to deliver her powerful gospel hits on Holy Thursday.

With the festival just a month away, the island is buzzing with anticipation, particularly as it prepares to welcome some of the biggest names in reggae music. “Buju Banton continues to be an undeniable powerhouse on the music scene. His energy is unlike any other reggae artist, and we are thrilled to have him here this Easter,” said the event organizer.

On Thursday, April 17th, internationally renowned gospel singer, Sinach will hit the stage in Tobago. The Nigerian singer, songwriter, and worship leader made history as the first singer-songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter’s charts for 12 consecutive weeks. With nine studio albums to her name, Sinach is celebrated for hits like “Way Maker,” “He Did It Again,” “This Is My Season,” and “I Know Who I Am.”

Joining Sinach will be Tobagonian artists Positive and Blessed Messenger, as well as award-winning Guyanese singer, songwriter, and producer Samuel Medas. Together, they will bring “Melodies from Heaven” to the Easter weekend, offering a transformative musical experience for all of Trinidad and Tobago.

Former Road March King, Mical Teja will perform at the Buccoo Seafood Jazz Experience on Saturday night.

Adding to the excitement, the Buccoo Seafood Jazz Experience on Saturday, April 19th will feature international artists Jon Secada and Brian McKnight, alongside the incredibly talented soca superstar, Mical Teja. “This weekend is all about celebrating music, food, and the complete satisfaction of the destination. As a tourism product, Tobago is already strong within the Caribbean, but we understand the importance of continually enhancing our offerings to attract global travelers,” explained the organizer. The Rhythm and Soul Festival is seen as a key initiative in boosting Tobago’s tourism potential. “For the people here, it’s more than just entertainment. It’s about creating employment, fostering independence, and developing an annual event that we can be proud of.”

The island is alive with excitement. Many are eager to see, up close and person, the artiste they call Gargamel. “Bringing Buju Banton back to the region just before his major Las Vegas show this summer is truly exciting.
