The new video sees the Jamaican entertainer take an introspective look at the pivotal turning points of the past year – from his freedom, to his landmark Freedom Street concert presented by Downsound Entertainment at Jamaica’s National Stadium.
“God Is The Greatest,” produced by TJ Records / Adidjahiem Records, is synced to a series of candid shots from Vybz Kartel’s visit to Miami, featuring cameos with DJ Khaled and Bounty Killer. The video was directed by directed by AKA.RUPPI.
“The reflective song and video is from his latest album Viking (Vybz Is King): 10th Year Anniversary, released on January 31, 2025 via (Adidjahiem Records/TJ Records). The LP features classic hits from his 2015 album Viking, including “Unstoppable,” “Gon Get Better” (sampled by pop group Fifth Harmony), “Dancehall,” and “Enchanting” along with seven new tracks including “God Is The Greatest,” “Amout,” “Porn Flick” featuring Ishawna, “It A Tape,” “Dreams Are Made Of,” “Polite,” and “Str8 Vybz”— named after his new rum brand,” a media statement explained.
This coming weekend, Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, will make his return to the U.S. stage after 20+ years with two back to back shows at Brooklyn, NY’s Barclays Center. The events take place on On Friday April 11th and Saturday April 12th and is presented by Reggae Fest.
In the first quarter of 2025, Vybz Kartel has made a major impact on the global stage, marking a triumphant return after his U.S. and UK visas were reinstated. He attended the 2025 Grammy Awards, earning his first nomination for Best New Reggae Album, and later received the prestigious Impact Award at the MOBO Awards, where he also performed. After his U.S. shows in NYC, he heads to Europe with performances including SummerJam in Cologne, Germany and London’s Wireless Festival in July.
