The duo appeared for the annual Miami Carnival, this past weekend. They headlined the festival’s main stage event – an anticipated part of the festival each year. In presenting the proclamations to the artistes along with the keys to the city of Miami, officials presented the artistes to the audience gathered, for the start of their performance on Sunday night.
In 2024, Soca superstar, Machel Montano was honored with the proclamation and Keys to the City. The honor traditionally highlights the hard work and dedication of these artistes from the caribbean, who have worked to establish their respective countries and the culture of their homeland.
Miami Carnival now wrapped up, the excitement and revelry of Tobago Carnival is set to heat up, before all attention switches to Trinidad and Tobago’s Greatest Show on Earth. Already, many artistes have released new Soca, all with the aim of making their breakthrough into what is ultimately a short Carnival season ahead.
