The duo featured in a short set during Cardi’s Sunrise stop on her ‘Little Miss Drama’ tour. The event took place at the Amerant Bank Arena.
Gleeful, the Bronx born rapper whose parents are from Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic, told Vybz Kartel that he had no idea what the moment meant to her. “This has to be the best night of my life,” she said in a backstage moment with Kartel. He replied, “I fully understand,” but Cardi wouldn’t have it, “No! You don’t understand!” she retorted, to much laughter. Kartel subsequently humbled himself and told those looking on, “I’m trying to understand.”
Performing to a sold out audience at the Florida venue, Cardi B appeared to be in complete fan girl mode, at one point dropping to the stage floor like only ‘little miss drama’ would do.
Throughout his incarceration, the ‘Please Me’ singer used her platform to show her love for Kartel’s music. She was even present at his New York concert on April 11th, 2025, in New York. In the aftermath of that event, Cardi took to Instagram sharing several clips of the event on her stories, singing along and showing off her friends’ dance moves.
