Dwayne Bravo’s Collabr App and CPL Ready to Discover New Caribbean Music Talent.

International cricketer, Dwayne Bravo is the co-founder of an app called, COLLABR.

Together with Caribbean Premiere League Twenty20, Bravo and COLLABR have announced a competition aimed at discovering new music talent, across the Caribbean.

In a recent interview with Caribbean entertainment news media, Ebuzztt.com, Bravo said, “In one of my meetings with CPL I told them we cannot just put on a contest and have a winner and that’s it – you never hear about the artistes again. We have to be able to monitor the artistes, help the artistes from a financial point of view and from a branding and marketing point of view. Our vision is to create the next regional music sensation.”

The app allows creatives to upload their music and other creative expressions and according to Bravo, the support shown to the artistes via likes and reviews, will ultimately aid in their choice of each person chosen from each island, for their half time performance at each game throughout the CPL Twenty20 matches this year. Bravo said his production company, 47Productions will then assist the artistes in taking their careers to the next level. ““My production company will, at the end, offer free production on two songs, after the tournament, to ensure that the artistes are promoted and kept relevant. This is CPL and 47 Productions investing in these artistes,” he told Ebuzztt.com.

The Caribbean Premiere League is known as the biggest party in sport. Coupled with COLLABR’s effort to promote caribbean talent and creativity, this year’s tournament is likely to be even more exciting that ever before.
