Nominated in several categories and already having secured the People’s Choice Award, Trinidad and Tobago star on the rise, Yung Bredda says he will not be at this Thursday’s event in Brooklyn, New York.
In a social media post, the ‘BendOver’ singer said while he has won awards at the CMA’s in the past, the organizers of the event never reached out to him or sent the awards to him in Trinidad and Tobago.
Yung Bredda has been having an incredible year, in the aftermath of Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival 2025 season. The Sealots born singer and father of one, placed second in the Soca Champions competition and he took home the third place prize at the Calypso Monarch competition. Recent collaborations with Jamaican artiste, Sean Paul and US RnB singer, Chloe Bailey along with Ghana’s Moliy, have added to his global appeal.
Yung Bredda says the CMA’s is a good look for the exposure of Caribbean artistes and the music of the Caribbean community but lamented that he is not enthused about the event because of his personal experience in the past.
