Known for her immense catalogue of music, Destra penetrated with hits of the past, including the crowd favorite, ‘Bonnie and Clyde.’
In a special moment, Destra’s daughter, Xaiya mounted the stage in front of her schoolmates, performing her mother’s monster collaboration, ‘ It’s Carnival,’ which was originally sung with Machel Montano back in 2003- 20 years ago. Xaiya had not been born yet.
Destra has already released new music ahead of Carnival 2024, among her singles, ‘Private Area’ on the Private Area riddim, which is shared with other soca artistes like Motto, Problem Child and Olatunji.
